Our passion for supporting independent businesses and entrepreneurs began when Dave & Mandy opened their own businesses in Gosport high street. The devastation of recessions and COVID has had on their high street become too heart breaking to ignore. So, they acted right away and the Coastal Collective was born, alongside photographer @RobbieKhan their mission is to celebrate and champion local businesses whilst connecting customers and creatives to collaborate and support one another.
We will do this through an online directory, a loyalty card scheme, promotion through our social media channels AS WELL as ‘The Coastal Collective’ markets. We want your business to thrive so we will be working with respected business coaches to help you to grow.
2020 was an incredibly hard year for us all but with our help 2021 will be the year you thrive...

Meet The Team
Meet Dave, one of our founders of ‘The Coastal Collective....
A barber by trade, he made the bold decision to leave his sturdy job to fulfil his dream of retraining for his current career and set up a local youth football team @thegosportseagulls, he also coaches for RTC & Southampton football club.
As a barber he was a finalist for Barber of the year at the Hampshire Salon Awards in 2019. Since then he has opened his own barbershop, @blackrosebarbercollective with a vision of creating a sustainable and eco-friendly offering contemporary, bespoke barbering in a relaxing no fuss environment. Since Lockdown hit last March he has still continued to progress himself as a barber and has also undertaken Mental health First Aid training with @MHFA England and is currently working with ‘The Lions Barber Collective’ and ‘12th Man’ charity to deepen his knowledge and understanding of mental health, triggers and the various ways he can support clients as well as the community.
He also works alongside Mandy at 133 High Street, Gosport - the home of @BlackRoseBarberCollective and @BlackRoseCreative.
Meet Mandy, our female founder of ‘The Coastal Collective’...
She’s our creative person who has true entrepreneur spirit, graduating from Portsmouth University in 2007 she always knew she wanted to do something different in her creative career...
She founded Iris Pintano Design in 2018 which evolved into Black Rose Creative in 2020 in which she embraces hand-based design. This not only makes her work truly unique but also gives it more soul, she specialises in branding, illustrations, stationary and modern calligraphy.
Knowing she could do more, she created #LoveFierce, a community as well as classes that promote her ethos of loving not only others fiercely, but ourselves. Her classes specialise in Journaling and modern Calligraphy, as well as holding an empowering monthly book club.
Always embracing her love of learning she also collaborates with other creatives to hold new and exciting classes...
After learning that only 1 in 3 entrepreneurs are female, she has also made it her mission to get more women to follow their dream of owning their own business, which is more accessible than most realise, creating freedom and pride knowing they have created something of their own. She hopes to do this through both ‘Black Rose Creative’ and ‘The Coastal Collective’.
She works alongside Dave at 133 High Street, Gosport - the home of @BlackRoseBarberCollective and @BlackRoseCreative.
Meet Robbie Khan our in-house photographer, not only is Rob an awesome being, what he has achieved so far, is also pretty impressive if we do say so ourselves...
Our fella is an internationally published photographer and BPA awards nominated bespoke photography based on the UK’s south east coast, but documents work globally. He specialises in portraiture, products and events, of course, all other genres are also covered.
Rob has created some incredible imagery through his personal projects such as ‘I am’ in 2020, which is still in progress as well as his classic car and watch shoots. He is highly respected in his field and understands that to create breath taking, soulful photographs he needs to experiment and push boundaries which is exactly what he achieves with these projects.
